Fashion is the material and expression is the technique.
I just thought up this phrase. And in the meantime, I made this which explains the title of this post:
I have a flu so I don't feel like writing... I just keep on thinking of my bed :(

You made me feel like the one
Dakota- Stereophonics
I've had this song in my head since I woke up today. I love it. I can't stop listening to it. Enjoy the video.

SUMMER'S COMING!
SUMMER is all about heat... and rain. For example, in Mexico City, it's the worst time of the year for storms. Electric WILD storms. They get you pretty inspired, yet you can't go out on the streets without a sweater or jacket. Leather jackets may be a must during Summer, but the heat won't make it feel comfortable. However, I've come to realize that WHITE CONVERSE are a must, along with sandals. Picture yourself on Mexico City, at the Condesa, walking on a Summer afternoon... it'd be raining. So put on your white converse.
Today's still Spring, May 15th and it's cold and raining.

inspirational art
here are some of my favorite art pictures and canvas:

renoir. the hats are amazing, mostly the guys' hat.

Today I'll make a denim vest... a DIY dyed denim vest. If any lone reader who stops by wants to do the same, just fill a big bucket with water and then add chloro. Then watch your denim item, until you notice it's getting the color you want. Then just rinse and wash your item and it's done!
A denim vest would go perfectly this way
here are two options which I made myself on photoshop right now. the skirt and shoes are by max studio, christian louboutin and keds.
I've noticed that us, young mexican people, have a lot of vitality which we portray through many things. One of them is fashion. I am very proud to read that there are a lot of trendsetters and Mexican bloggers who are world famous thanks to their guts and ideas. These bloggers and fashionistas inspire me and I'm sure they inspire other people to try and have a blog in order to express their fashion insides.

stillness
Listening to Imogen Heap gets me in a mood where I will write endlessly. I used to write and write and write, poetry and randome blank verses, filled with negativity and sadness... emo-like... which I totally dislike right now. Normally one wouldn't reject his or her past, or deeds, but I think those writings and texts were part of phases which are kept where they belong which is in the past. It was a kind of therapy and escape, but due to the negativity they carried, I just stopped writing them. I didn't plan it but I just don't feel like writing like that anymore. I think it has to do with growing up. Right now I find myself writing endlessly about random things, mainly what is on my mind at the moment (which can be clearly seen right now).
I love to walk, and what I love the most is watch people walking while I'm walking too. I tend to analyze every single person who crosses my way. Not that I stop, stare and analyze; but with a few miliseconds is more than enough to get a slight idea of who they are. When I walk, I'd rather do it alone. I love being alone and just listen and watch. Throughout the years I've come to be like that. Probably I'm sounding like a reaallyy grown up person however I am pretty childish myself, sometimes. And immature at other times. Nonetheless, I'm very tired. I'm preparing for this 10 mile race on Sunday so today the intense practice started and I've to get some sleep for tomorrow's practice.

Post Mother's Day
I'm probably thinking with my stomach right now because I'm starving! Here in Mexico we use to have lunch as the main meal of the day, as if it were dinner, so it's the most craved meal and I always take it with my family whenever we eat at our house... and my mom has not arrived so I'm on the verge on passing away...
Post Mother's Day day: regarding Fashion, it makes me think about flowers, daffodils, flowers everywhere and at the same time it's one of the patrons which are a trend right now, flowers printed over a blue background, sometimes remembering us of the bluest sky.
Fashion is so many things, everything, except what the Mexican Education Bureau pretends or intends it to be... first off, what the hell do they know about fashion? Are there any fashionistas inside that specific bureau? Because as far as I am concerned, every single politician in Mexico right now has got where he or she is right now with the help of corruption and injustice, bribe. Here in Mexico the fashion career is actually an accredited career (which, at first glance, appears to be faboulous), however, the career here sucks! There are no good fashion schools, all of them try to persuade you into some kind of exchange with an apparently better school in Europe or in the US. That already tells us that these people are not even happy with their school here in Mexico. I'd love and I dream about studying fashion in Parsons or Marangoni or Central Saint Martins; however, as I've mentioned before, I've listened to my inner political, philosophical and historical me and will major in International Relationships... at least I will have a very good career in things I love, later on I will do what I love most! Which, right now, is having my own fashion brand. At least I hope so.
Ok so the lights went out while I was this like 3 hours ago and now I'm different: I've eaten so I'm not thinking with my stomach anymore. I love jazz and today I discovered a fantastic feature on iTunes which is RADIO! LIVE! So I get to listen to every single Jazz station worldwide! At least 50 different Jazz staions. I must add that there are also like 30 different genres other than jazz so dear reader, please yourself. Jazz and piano are just relaxing and perfect to help you think and get out what ever you need to get out. Even more, it's perfect for drawing, it makes your drafts come out clean, discreet and gentle.--. just as fashion illustration needs to be.
Today, while I was on my car listening to the RADIO... news radio this time... some horrible news about a Narc Camp was being streamed. The horrible thing is that the narc are intending to take their "business" into another level by creating schools! So it's pretty massive and pretty scary... Personally, I don't like living here in Mexico. It's ambiguous... I love living in Mexico but I'm scared most of the time... as well as the rest of the people are... so that stresses us Mexicans to unwanted and unavoidable points of stress and paranoia.
